The chairman of the Delta State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Peter Nwaoboshi, has described last Wednesday’s defection of Senator Adegho Eferekaya and gubernatorial hopeful, Ovie Omo-Agege, from the party as good riddance.
Reacting to the development in a telephone interview, Chief Nwaoboshi said that the two party chieftains were paper tigers, whose exit from the party would be immaterial to the fortunes of the party.
He described Eferekaya’s election to the Senate in 2007 as an accident, which occurred because of the tax problems of the other party heavyweights in the constituency.
“Very good riddance,” Chief Nwaoboshi, whose executive had been at odds with the two party chieftains told Vanguard, yesterday.
