Super Falcons’ top striker, Perpetua Nkwocha, who hit another hat-trick at the 7th African Women’s Championship (AWC) in South Africa, in the team’s 5-1 spanking of Cameroun in the competition’s first semi- final Thursday is set to increase her haul as they battle 2008 foes, Equatorial Guinea in today’s epic final.

Nkwocha, who was elated as she hit 10 goals Thursday, said before the commencement of the competition, her team mates predicted she could hit the 15 goal mark and she was looking forward to accomplish that in the final match.

In the semi-final match against Cameroun, Helen Ukaonu, opened the flood- gate of goals  before Desire Ugochi Oparanozie made it two. Golden girl Nkwocha then took over the show with her eighth, ninth and tenth goals of the competition, the last of which she notched with a dying minute penalty.

Having also scored a hat-trick in the opening game, a  5-0 spanking of Mali, Nkwocha is leading the goals’ charts with 10 goals, and looks good for another shot as African Female Footballer of the Year, while the Falcons are headed for their sixth feel of the trophy, after missing out to Equatorial Guinea two years ago.
