The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have stepped up moves to have former Super Eagles skipper Sunday Oliseh as part of their technical department.

A top official informed that NFF president, Aminu Maigari, has asked for the contract of axed assistant secretary-general James Peters to study before he tables an offer to the former Ajax Amsterdam and Juventus midfielder.
“He has asked to see the contract of Peters and after which he will make Oliseh an offer,” an official said.

Oliseh, who has been in constant touch with Maigari, has already said he is ready to lend a helping hand at the NFF secretariat at very little cost to the country.

The former Eagles skipper has been living in Belgium with his family after acquiring a UEFA ‘A’ coaching license.
Oliseh has also worked upstairs at two lower league Belgian clubs.

We further gathered that there were initial objections to hiring Oliseh on the grounds that he will be about the same age with most of the national team coaches.“Some of the board members wanted a far older man to replace Peters,” a source disclosed.
