WARRI—DELTA Izon Renaissance for Change, DIRC, a group  based in Bomadi, Delta State, weekend, called on the three lawmakers, representing Bomadi and Patani constitutencies in the state House of Asssembly to give account of their stewardship for the 12 years they have been in office.

The group in a  statement by its national president, Mr Sunday Egbaseimokumor, said, the youths of Bomadi and Patani Local Government Areas of Delta State were against the fourth term aspiration of the lawmakers, adding that any attempt by them to bulldoze their ways against the wishes of the people would be met with stiff resistance.

It restated its support for the 2011 ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and Senator James Manager.

According to the group, the recent statement  by the secretary of the Ijaw Youths Council, IYC, that the council had nothing against lawmakers seeking fourth term in Bomadi and Patani was obnoxious, as he did not have the mandate of the council to utter such nonsense.

It said the Izon Okosu_Otu (Ijaw elders) and youths in Bomadi, Patani and Burutu had in separate meetings before the unguarded outburst of Amatoru made it clear that no fourth-term seeking lawmaker would be supported in the area, adding the only the lawmakers representing Burutu at both the State and National Assembly, have in deference to the voice of the people, declined their fourth –term aspirations.

DIRC also called on the IYC to call its secretary to order , as it was wrong for him to present his personal and parochial views to the public purporting it to be the collective decision of the IYC.
