‘Present qualified candidate for state assembly’

By Simon Ebegbulem
BENIN CITY — THE Gbaramatu Renaissance Forum, a socio-cultural organisation in Delta State, has urged Itsekiris and Ijaws in Warri South West Local Government Council of Delta State to present a qualified candidate that will represent the constituency in the state House of Assembly in the forthcoming 2011 elections.

While urging a Niger Delta activist, Mr. Paul Bebenimibo, to contest the position, the group in a statement signed by its Secretary, Chief Moses Amaye and Publicity Secretary, Guwor Emomotimi, made available to Vanguard in Benin City Tuesday, argued that the people of the area needed a personality who is abreast of the problems confronting the area in order to give better representation to the people.

The statement said:  “We have searched properly and want to urge Comrade Paul Bebenimibo to run for the Warri South-West seat in Delta State House of Assembly come 2011.
