The state Police Commissioner, Mr. Suleiman Abba,  who briefed newsmen on the development, said in the last one month, 28 kidnappers were arrested in the state while 20  kidnapped persons were rescued by  his command.

The police boss also paraded 11 robbery suspects and 19  cars stolen at different times in the state. The police Commissioner called for support from the public in  the fight against crime.

The dismissed policemen, a Constable and a Corporal, were said to have been arrested while escorting a car out of the state, though they said they didn’t know the vehicle was stolen.
