Lagos State Chief Judge, Justice Inumidun Akande, has accused some Magistrates within the state judiciary of attending conferences and seminars without official approvals from her office.

FOUR months after his mother, Mrs. Grace Ilugbekhai, was abducted from her home and taken to an unknown destination by gunmen on April 15, a Lagos-based Structural Engineer, Mr Samuel Ilugbekhai, and his siblings have appealed to the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ogbonna Onovo and security agencies in the country to come to the aid of the family by fishing out those behind the abduction.

ELDER states-man and pioneer Governor of Edo State, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has advised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, to put measures in place that would assist him to compile a new voters’ register for future elections in the country, instead of depending on ad hoc staff.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, yesterday challenged the applications by former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fin Bank Plc, Mr. Okey Nwosu and three other directors of the bank standing trial for corrupt charges before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, praying the court to vary their bail conditions.
