NNPC MPCS records N13m net surplus

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Housing Multi-purpose Co-operative Society Ltd, (NNPC MPCS) Warri, Delta State, has recorded a net surplus of over  N13 million and also opened an ultra-modern supermarket and business centre for the 2009 business year.

Out-going president of the NNPC MPCS, Mr. Fredrick Akemu, made this disclosure during the 13th Annual General Meeting and election of new executives while giving the report of the management committee of the body in Warri.
He disclosed further that the management committee has secured the approval of the Department of Petroleum Resources to construct its own filling station that has already gulped about N1.130 million.

According to him, “Inspite of the economic meltdown and the challenges associated with it during the period under review they were able to make a net surplus of N13,001,959.23k even as the co-operative made a total profit from land sales to the tune of  fourteen million, eight hundred and fifty thousand (N14, 850, 000.00) while over N573, 250, 000.00 was expended in stocking the super market and business centre, stressing that their set target for the year was successfully achieved.

Meanwhile, Messrs. Dada M.O. was elected president; Samuel Ogidi, Vice President; Aggrey Akakari, Secretary General and Esenekefe Daniel as Auditor, amongst others.
