Mega Party gets INEC’s registration

ABUJA—THE Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has confirmed and certified the Mega Progressive People’s Party, MPPP, popularly known as Mega Party as a legitimate national political party.

In an official letter with ref No: INEC/ DPPM&L/MPPP/303/Vol.1/209 authoritatively issued by the newly-Constituted INEC and signed by the Secretary of the Commission; Alhaji  Abdullahi  A. Kaugana, expressly  stated that: “The Commission, at its meeting held on Tuesday, 3rd  August, 2010 has approved the registration of the Mega Progressive Peoples Party, MPPP, as a political party.

The party’s constitution, manifesto, logo/flag and the list of its national executive officers were also approved. The certificate of registration will be issued in due course.

Reacting to the corfirmation of its registration by INEC, the National Leader of the Party, Hon. R.A. Shittah-Bey, stated yesterday that the Mega Party’s four cardinal manifestoes consisting of good governance, social services, infrastructure and wealth creation have really impressed many Nigerians who have been trooping to join the party, yearning for a change in the political system of our dear country.”
