Former Super Eagles player Thompson Oliha has urged the new board of the NPL led by David Owumi to ensure that the Globacom Premier League is run by people who are vast and knowledgeable about the game, reports Kate Obodo
Olihah, believes corruption has eaten deep into the league and needs the right people who know the game very well to move the league forward .
“Now that Owumi has been elected the chairman, we expect transformation in the league. There is the need for ex-international to occupy virtually all aspect in the league, this will go a long way to effect change.
“ Our league is too porous and corrupt, we have to make a lot of amendments. I believe an away team should be able to win matches without bribing the referees. The issue of paying money to win a match should be stopped. We have to make a lot of corrections,†he said.
