Pink is a very feminine colour that comes in different hues that can go from baby pink to hot pink or magenta. The term hot pink is reported to have been introduced into the fashion lexicon by Elsa Schiaparelli in 1947 and dubbed it “shocking pinkâ€. Hot pink is the sweet side of red.
Pink is believed to be the colour of universal love. It can be youthful, fun, exciting, sensual and passionate. The softer shades are often associated with romance.
Because it is a quiet and calming colour, it has been effectively used in prisons to reduce erratic behaviour.
Nothing makes one feel so pretty and girlie like a pink outfit especially if you find your favourite hue and you are sharp enough to know how to mix and match. Pink is able to make a woman look more beautiful. It even gets better when spiced with a touch of other colours like black or wine. However, there is something to consider, if the dress and make up worn and used from head to toe are entirely pink, it will be too excessive.
Find a pink dress that you can dress up or down to make it work in a variety of situations.
