Ado-Ekiti—The Ekiti Government has denied relocating the State College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti, to Efon Alaaye.
The people of Ikere-Ekiti had yesterday embarked on a protest march over a news item aired on the Broadcasting Service of
 Ekiti State, BSES, that the college had been relocated.
Addressing newsmen yesterday, the State Commissioner for Education, Mr Bade Adara, described the purported relocation of the college as a rumour sponsored by “some fifth columnists in the state.’’
Adara said what government did was to relocate the state government college at Efon Alaaye-Ekiti to Aramoko-Ekiti to pave way for the establishment of a new College of Education at Efon Alaaye-Ekiti.
