International soul singer Asa made a surprise appearance at the Ultima studio venue of this year’s edition of The Project Fame season 3..

Accompanied by her manager Janet Nwose, Asa spent the whole day in the Academy, as Ultima Stiudio CEO Femi Ayeni and Academy Principal Joke Silva showed her round, and introduced the contestants to her.

The visit kicked off her mentorship session with the Season 3 contestants_ and the contestants were happy to listen to her, and also perform her songs. She is also expected to sit as a visiting judge on the show today.

It was a moment of joy for the 18 contestants who were excitement to have in their midst the celebrity musician.

It more exciting because, Asa has performed at numerous shows and concerts abroad as well as headlining major tours and music festivals. Trust Asa, she shared her experience as an upcoming talent; and told the bewildered contestants the remarkable story of her rise to international fame.

And as a tribute to the singer who has proudly flown the Nigerian flag, the contestants will be performing her songs this Saturday at this week’s performance show. The contestants will also perform select numbers from Tracy Chapman.

Asa will also be on hand to judge the contestants when performing. Obviously the highlight of the evening will be when the singer mounts the stage to perform some of her hit songs.
