Singer 9ice may not be the typical fashionable Hip Hop artiste especially since he shuns the traditional blings, ear rings and crazy hair styles.
Even his traditional Tee shirts are not so much to be desired because they are as plain as plain can be- not to use the word ‘boring’.
Well, yes his skinny structure and conservative taste may not flatter contemporary clothing much, yet this celeb’s physique is just the best statistical composition for the Yoruba male attire which he now flaunts.
All it took to register a style was for him to shoot the video to Gbamu Gbamu, one of the popular songs on his last album, Tradition. The video not only introduced a new dance step which involves bending over and throwing both arms and legs in a certain manner. It also shows the singer in a well-tailored Yoruba outfit decked with embroidery.
That style is currently trending in the local tailor shops. Almost every young man wants a piece of the action and the tailors are smiling to the bank with prices ranging from N4000 for each piece sown. Isn’t 9ice nice improving the lot of SMEs in the tailoring line?
