World Cup: South Africa makes Africa proud with great Opening ceremony

South Africa did the African Continent proud as it unveiled a passion-laden programme for the opening ceremony of the 2010 World Cup. The ceremony opened 1Pm with great and colourful display of  African heritage and culture.

Femi Kuti, scion of the great Ransome Kuti family and first son of Abami Eda, Afro-beat king, Fela Anikulapo Kuti represented Nigeria at the opening ceremony which also featured world acclaimed artistes including R Kelly. Femi appeared in Green and White, Nigeria’s national colours.
