In a continuously bid to keep in touch with its primary target,babies and mothers, Cussons Baby, range from the stable of PZ Cussons Plc has introduced Nigeria’s first baby liquid soap.

The new baby range contains a cleansing formula that cleanses baby’s skin, prevents and aids natural healing of skin infection caused by bacteria.

The soap according to the manufacturers is used for bathing, midwifery and for personal hygiene With the introduction, the soap becomes the first approved baby liquid antiseptic in Nigeria
The brand also also used the introduction to  extended its ‘happy baby reassured mum’ campaign which started last years in over 1,000 hospitals in Nigeria.

According to Mrs. Roseline Abaraonye, Brand Manager, Mother & Baby (Cussons Baby), said, “We actually decided to extend the campaign to the crèches because at the hospitals we were able to reach out to the pregnant women, first time mothers, nursing mothers and at the crèches we understand that these mothers from the hospitals move their children to crèches and keep their babies there in order to be able to carry on with their daily activities.

Because these children are in crèches we understand that these babies need so much care and love and a good environment to keep them comfortable. So, why we have decided to come to the crèches is make them feel comfortable while giving mum some more time to take care of her normal business.”

For the past 2 years, Cussons Baby has been able to reach out to about 200,000 mums improving the bond among mum, baby and Cussons Baby through hospital sampling tagged ‘Happy Baby, Reassured Mum’. This has helped mothers understand the importance of natural ingredients such as Vitamin E in their baby’s skin care products, she continued.
