Makurdi-The National Auditor of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Dr. Samuel Ortom has declared that the party’s hammer will soon fall on more members of the party who contravened party rules.

Addressing newsmen in Makurdi, Dr. Ortom said the era of flouting party regulations with impunity in the PDP was over.

“In a long time the PDP has grappled with the issue of indiscipline among its followership but we are ready to address it for the good of the party”, he said, adding, “Aside the 19 persons that came under the hammer of the party we are looking forward to carrying out punitive measures on any member found to have contravened the rules and regulations governing the PDP as a party”, he said.

The National Auditor who also pointed out that the PDP was committed to the rule of law and due process noted that the leadership of the party was bound by the court injunction which has restrained it from its action against the suspended 19 members but also intimated that the PDP would legally challenge the court order in order to vacate it.
