LAGOS — Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Tolu Odugbemi, has called on Nigerians to contribute their quota to the development of the nation anywhere they find themselves, adding that Nigeria is great and has great people who can turn this nation around.

He said this yesterday during a pre-convocation news conference in Lagos.

According to him, the convocation will take place next Wednesday and Thursday.

According to the V C ,  a total of 4,776 graduating students will receive their degree, diplomas and
certificates this year. Of this number, 3,562 will receive first degrees while 1,214 will receive postgraduate
degrees.

According to him, of the first degree graduating students, 75 passed in the First Class Division, adding that
the Faculty of Engineering topped the list with 34 First Class draduating students.

Odugbemi said last year, it was the same faculty that topped the list with 32 First Class, adding that a total of 50 Postgraduates students will receive their Doctor of Philosophy degrees in various disciplines.
