NCC commiserates with the Babangidas

THE Executive Vice Chairman, EVC of Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC on behalf of the commission has joined other legions of Nigerians who mourn, the demise of former First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Mariam Babangida, to commiserate with the Babangidas over the passing away of the Better Life for Rural Women crusader.

Ndukwe in a message to the family made  available to Vanguard, said that “the Commission  with sorrow, mourns the passing away of Mrs. Mariam Babangida, the amiable former first lady of Nigeria and wife of a senior brother and friend, Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida. The former first lady will always be remembered for her charm, elegance and style and above all as a role model to many women.

The nation has indeed lost a veritable crusader for better life for women and someone committed to the upliftment of the status of rural women in the country”.  He added that on behalf of the Chairman, board, management and staff of the NCC, he wished that the Babangidas take the death of the established loving wife, mother and grandmother as the will of Allah.
