Members of the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN), last weekend in Lagos, hosted friends to a poolside party at CMC Connect in GRA, Ikeja. The event which is the first in a series of activities lined up for the year by the association, attracted designers, models, journalists, accessory designers, friends and family members of the association.

The party provided an avenue for stakeholders in the fashion industry not only to unwind but to also interact in a relaxed environment.

Characteristic of the association, the party did not go without them displaying to the guests the stuff they are made of. Three designers including winner of the maiden edition of the FADAN Talent Hunt, Elvis, showcased a collection of their works. The others are LD Designs and Marilyn Creations. To compliment the clothes, several accessory designers also put some of their best neck pieces on the catwalk to admiration of the guests.

Earlier in a welcome address, the president of FADAN, Prince Akanni Oyefusi, was full of gratitude to all particularly the who supported the association’s course all through last year. According to him, this party is our own way of saying thank you to all those who supported us last year. No matter how small, we just want to say thank you. It is not every time that we go asking for help. This time, we want to appreciate all our friends”.

At the end of the fashion show, models took to the dance floor as they rocked the night away.
Present at the event were past president of FADAN Mrs Folorunsho Alakija, Frank Osodi, Zizi Cardow, Wumi O, Mr and Mrs Ladipo and Mr Yomi Badejo.
