Abuja—Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, has approved the establishment of an international Helicopter school in Enugu.
It has also endorsed the issuance of approved Training Organisation, ATO, for the Nigerian Air Force existing training institution.
Director General of the NCAA, Dr. Harold Demuren, gave the approval when a team of Nigeria Air Force officers, led by Air Vice Marshal M.D. Umar, paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
Umar, the Air Officer Commanding Nigerian Airforce Training Command, Kaduna, said the NCAA approval would help the training institute to train both officers and civilians for private pilot licences, commercial licences, ATC, and air maintenance engineers.
AVM Umar said the Nigeria Air Force was not alone in this project, as it was partnering with an Aeronautical Engineering School in the US and also with some local partners.
