IT is believed that every  good innovations come with its attendant problems or shortcomings. This is true of electronic gadgets like cameras, mobile phones, etc.

One of the major problems experienced in the use of hand-sets is battery failure. It is particularly so in Nigeria where electricity supply is erratic. This sorry situation has continuously given the stakeholders sleepless nights, in their efforts to find lasting solutions to the battery failure in the use of mobile phones.

No doubt, this particular problem has caused some users a lot of embarrassments. In fact, the effects of battery failure can bettered be imagined.

However, the story has changed. Users of mobile phones, digital cameras, PDA, MP3, MP4 etc. can now have a cause to smile following the introduction of a high-tech solar battery charger by Fedan Investment Limited, owners of FIL mobile phone accessories.

Speaking to Vanguard Hi-tech at the company’s corporate head office, Alaba International Market, Ojo, the general manager of Fedan, Mr. Joel Agba said his company introduced the product based on the demand by their numerous customers, especially travelers to bring a product that would solve the problems of battery failure.

He said travelers encounter difficulties on daily basis simply because their phone battery was down. “Some have lost their lives because they could not reach for help when in distress. Some have lost important business opportunities while some others have equally lost the way to their destination,” he revealed adding that with the arrival of solar charger, all the problems associated with battery failure would be a thing of past.

Speaking further, Mr. Agba said the charger is a multipurpose which can be used for digital cameras, MP3, MP4, etc. He said the charger has several pins for every appliance meant for it.

Some of the features of the charger according to Mr. Agba, included its ruggedness, efficiency, affordable and that it can charge very fast.
