By Henry Umoru

ABUJA—A new twist emerged yesterday in the Anambra State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), with the National Chairman of the Party, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor dissolving the existing Executive Committee and replacing it with a Caretaker Committee.

It will be recalled that the State Executive Committee, the National Working Committee(NWC) of the PDP recognised in line with the ruling of the court, was the  Uchenna Emodi led Executive, until he resigned to pick form to contest for the Anambra State governorship race, but he could not scale through as he was disqualified by the Screening Committee.

In a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Professor Rufai Alkali in Abuja, yesterday, the 18-member Caretaker Committee, has the former Economic Adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dr. Osita Ogbu as the Chairman.

Other members are Mr Vincent Achigwe, Chief Chisata Okoye, Mr Emmanuel Nsoedo; Chief Alphonsus Oguonu; Mr  K. Enemuoh; Mrs. Oby Okeke-Okwubanego; Chief Solomon Onyekwelu; Chief Dennis Ngene and Chief Odumegwu Sunny.
