THE Federal Government has appointed two new directors for the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), in line with the restructuring of the agency.
They are Dr. (Mrs) Azuka Onyia and Mr. George Uriesi, who was former general manager of Cape Town International Airport in South Africa.
The appointments which aimed at facilitating optimum results and efficient service delivery by the agency was approved by President Umaru Yar’Adua.
Onyia was appointed as the Director of Finance and Accounts, while Uriesi was appointed the Director of Airports Operations.
Mrs Onyia has over 17 years experience in finance, administration and public accounting in diverse industries, including e-commerce, aviation, real estate and manufacturing.
She worked with the Boeing Company, one of the world’s major aerospace firms for five years.
Uriesi has over 17 years experience in the aviation industry, covering the airlines, airports and regulatory environments.
