ABUJA—As part of the initiative of the Federal Government to effectively combat disasters in the country, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has trained 65 officers from the six geo-political zones of the federation in specialized search and rescue.
This is in line with the agency’s shift in disaster management, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), which encapsulates preparedness, mitigation, response and control as the underlying factor, provided a platform for the training.
