Governor Daniel charges Eaglets to soar

Governor Gbenga Daniel has urged the Golden    Eaglets not to leave anything to chance on Sunday when they confront their Swiss counterpart in the final of the Under 17 World Cup at the Abuja National Stadium. Governor Daniel said the Golden Eaglets have earned the confidence and admiration of their countrymen since the competition began and they should know that only the main prize would be good enough.

The Governor whose State  hosted three matches of the World Cup said if the Eaglets show the same  resilience and verve they had shown in previous matches he was confident that they would  overwhelm their opponents  and give Nigerians a major reason to celebrate. “The young lads have shown through their doggedness on the field of play and the skills they have displayed that there is a bright future for the game of football in the country. We need to support them as they go for the ultimate prize.

The Golden Eaglets can count on the support of the people and government of Ogun State in their quest for glory,” the Governor said. Otunba Daniel advised Coach Obuh and his wards to go into the match with the mindset that they carry the hope and aspirations of Millions of soccer loving Nigerians who expect them to win the coveted trophy.
