By Bishop David Oyedepo

Every bird is born to fly and every fish is born to swim. The law of floatation notwithstanding, inside the fish is the capacity to swim. A fish can never be drowned because of its weight and the law of floatation.
In the same way, every child of God is born for the supernatural (John 3:8). In spite of circumstances, you are born to operate in the supernatural.

This week, I want to show you how you can connect to God’s miracle network. At times, you pick up your phone and try to make calls, even though you have the correct number, yet you have on the screen of your phone, “No Network.” When there is no network, there will never be a response. Every miracle is the working of God (Mark 16:20; Acts 10:30; Acts 14:3). Let me show how to connect:

Be born again: You can’t connect with any telephone network without a phone. New birth is what connects you to the supernatural. It’s your clear point of connection with God’s miracle network. John 4:24 says: “God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” When man was created, he was an embodiment of the supernatural. He was supernaturally in charge because his spirit-man was alive. Man lost access to God’s miracle network through sin. When you are born again, you have access to God’s miracle network. Do you want to connect to God’s miracle network? The first step is to be a child of God. I will show you how, towards the end of this teaching.

Praying in your heart: Prayer is one of the channels for provoking the supernatural. We have the story of the woman called Hannah in the Bible. Hannah spake “with her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard…” (I Samuel 1:13-15, 19-20). That means, it is only with your heart that you can connect with God’s miracle network. God heard what Hannah spoke in her heart. It is your heart-borne prayer that connects you with God’s miracle network! There are many heartless “praying giants” without prayer response proofs, because they are not praying from the platform that connects with heaven’s miracle network (James 5:16). Your heart is your connectivity back to God; but it has to be engaged in prayers, before you can get a response.

Having faith for miracle in your heart: The faith of the mouth draws strength from the faith of the heart. The faith that works is the faith of the heart. “For with the heart, a man believeth.” (Romans 10:10). What you say can only be validated by what you believe in your heart. (Mark 11:23). The faith that puts you in command is the faith of the heart. You are not in command without faith in your heart.

Obedience from your heart: Obedience that provokes God’s intervention is the one from your heart. Everything that answers in your life is made to happen by your heart. It’s also interesting to know that revelation flows through our heart. Obedience that commands the flow of God’s blessing in your life, must be borne from the heart. That’s why the Bible says: “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:23). Obedience brings you the expected responses when it’s borne from the heart.

Engaging your heart in a search: There is no question in your life that does not have an answer in The Book; but your heart must be engaged in the search. In the parable of the woman that has 10 pieces of silver; if she loses one, she lights a candle and sweeps thoroughly. The candle first! What is the candle? Proverbs 20:27 says: “The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” The things inside God can only be accessed, as you light your candle. The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord that man must engage, in searching out the heart of God. Don’t go reading the Bible without lightening your candle; engage your heart in the search (Isaiah 26:9). It is after the engagement of your heart and soul that revelation comes, and you are in command. This is how it works at all times and in all cases! Everything in the supernatural has its root in your heart. Revelation puts you in command of the supernatural flows through your heart.

Connecting with carriers of miracles: You connect with God’s miracle by connecting with those who are already connected. We are told that the mockers of Elisha said: “…The spirit of Elijah doth rest upon Elisha.” (II Kings 2:15). Elisha stepped into Elijah’s shoes, just a few seconds after Elijah left. The spirits of just men move from one generation to another. There is something you can tap into, to enhance your authority in the school of signs and wonders.

Friend, the power for connectivity is the preserve of those connected to God. You get connected by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. That is what being born again entails. If you are set for this new birth experience, please say this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Deliver me from sin, to serve the living God. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!”
