The Nigeria Premier League has issued a strongly worded letter to the management of Ocean Boys FC over the ugly incident that occurred in Benin at the weekend.

The warning came as the match report regarding the match between Ocean Boys FC Vs Enyimba Int’l FC indicated that one ERHUMWUH, a supporter of Ocean Boys FC encroached into the pitch thereby causing temporary stoppage.
The NPL in its statement signed by Head Competition Department, Tunji

Babalola expressed total disappointment from the way Premier League clubs supporter carryout acts that sends wrong signals to the world about the Globacom Premier League; “we wish to express our total displeasure over the incident as such conduct is contrary to NPL rules and regulations and the aspirations to take the league to a greater height”.

Ocean Boys FC was further charged to call her fans to order as such conduct could bring the game into disrepute. This charge is applicable to all the Premier League Clubs.
