Dear Sir,
FOLLOWING the ongoing destruction of shops in Lagos State, a lot of people have lost their means of livelihood. As a result, many have been forced to relocate to the villages. The story of Obinna Ike, Emma Eze Orji and Jackson Odoyu is a pathetic one. The trio tried to prevent their business premises from being destroyed, but were not lucky as they were dealt with. This forced them to seek for a safer place, as they look forward for favourable conditions.
I am writing this, out of my belief that what is going on in the state is in the interest of all. But there is need, I must emphasis, to consider the lives and welfare of those affected by the developmental changes. The exodus of people from Lagos, to other parts of the world as a result of this, is not in the interest of the state.
