Honduras’ leader of  delegation to Nigeria 2009 FIFA Under-17 World Cup declared on arrival that his boys will not be weeping boys of group A.

Evelio Aleman said that the Honduras are well prepared for the tournament and have what it takes to collect the maximum points from Nigeria and Germany and make their qualification for the knock out stage certain.

The team arrived Nigeria on Monday night with a 31-man delegation with hope of making an impact at the tournament.
“We are well prepared for the tournament, Nigeria and Germany are favourites. But we are here with the hope of making an impact,” said Aleman.

The tournament begins Saturday with Nigeria taking on Germany, while Honduras will face Argentina in the other game of the group regarded as the group of death. The central American country are regarded as the underdogs of the group.
Meanwhile, former international, Mutiu Adepoju, said that the opening game will be tough, but he tipped the Eaglets to sail through to the next round.

“Opening games are usually tough. But with the level of preparations the Eaglets have, I don’t see them disappointing Nigerians,”said Adepoju who was part of Nigeria’s under-20 team at the Saudi’89 FIFA junior world cup.
