The Executive Governor, Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fasola, has urged the participating students in the on-going Lagos Inter Tertiary Games to be of good behaviour and embrace the spirit of friendship during the Games.


The governor gave this advice while declaring the Games open Sunday at the Kuramo Beach during the beach volleyball matches involving Unilag,Yabatech and  Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education.

Fasola said that the Games were aimed at promoting friendship among students of higher learning in the state and not to win at all cost.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to take sports to the next level hence the organisation of the Games, saying that the youth should stay away from cultism and embrace sports which will enable them prepare for better future.

Meanwhile, Unilag football team defeated Lagos Polytechnic 1-0, Ansar-ud Deen College of Education and Yabatech played 1-1 draw while Lagos State University defeated Ronik Polytechnic 7-1 in the match played yesterday.
