Equitorial Trust Back has opened two MoneyGram Redshops in Ibadan thus strengthening its leadership position in the international money transfer services The ETB MoneyGram Redshops, manned by experienced tellers adequately trained in international money transfer, which operate in a cozy and posh environment adorned in ETB and MoneyGram colours, are located in the Iwo Road and NCR 2 branches of the Bank in Ibadan. This brings to 13 the number of such MoneyGram points by the Bank.
Ms Funmi Omitowoju, Regional Director, Anglophone West Africa, MoneyGram International, who led a team to the commissioning of the Redshops, stated that the continued expansion of Redshops by the Bank is a demonstration of its commitment to growing moneygram operations in Nigeria .
Ms Omitowoju, who added that MoneyGram International has noticed improved customer service ratings in all the ETB MoneyGram Redshops, expressed the hope that this satisfied customer experience will be replicated in other Redshops that would be subsequently opened by the bank. In his speech, the General Manager and Zonal Business Head, West of the Bank, Mr. Debola Sofela, disclosed that the essence of opening the Redshops in Ibadan is in line with the bank’s commitment to customer satisfaction and the resolve to bring quick MoneyGram services to the doorsteps of our brothers, sisters, parents and younger ones who acknowledge and appreciate MoneyGram as the best mode to receive funds from overseas.
He expressed a strong belief that the opening of the MoneyGram Redshops would provide a platform to boost the bank’s MoneyGram transactions in the state and bring convenience to its customers. “The event of today is an indication of our resolve to continue to dominate both the local and international money transfer business in the country and to be the number one agent of MoneyGram in Africaâ€, he affirmed.
In order to sustain what he described as the bank’s enviable position as the undisputable leader in international money transfer in Nigeria , Mr. Sofela disclosed that the bank has concluded plans to open two additional Redshops in Port Harcourt at Ordinance Junction and Ogbunabali branches and Alaba in Lagos before the end of this year.
And to effectively create the massive and consolidated awareness of MoneyGram services in the country, the Bank, according to him, will, after the Ramadan public holidays, embark on road shows in strategic locations nationwide starting from Lagos .
While expressing the gratitude of the bank to the state government for its support through patronage, the bank’s General Manager assured everyone that the Bank will further strengthen and advance the excellent relationship existing between the people of Oyo State and the Bank in empowering them to stake higher grounds in business.
