Jos – Against the backdrop of recent uprisings in parts of the North, Nigerians have been called upon to learn to co-exist peacefully and avoid anything capable of breeding disunity in the country.
The Senator representing Plateau South District, General John Shagaya (rtd), stated this weekend at the funeral service of his mother, Kaka Maryamu Shagaya at COCIN Central Church, Langtang.
He stressed the need for Nigerians to love one another, live peacefully with their neighbours and exhibit the spirit of forgiveness taught by various religions.
Shagaya noted that his mother, who died on July 19 this year, taught her children to always forgive and never to revenge any wrong done them. “She stood for nothing but love and preaching peaceful co-existence.â€
