SUPER Eagles Coach Amodu Shuaibu is one person who does not succumb to fear. Despite all the criticisms about his Eagles, Amodu remains constant that Nigeria would pick the ticket to play in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa ahead of Tunisia.

“There is no battle that is easy. But one thing that I know is that the strong the opposition, the better the Super Eagles play”, he said as the D’day for the World Cup cracker between the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia and Nigeria draw closer.

Many have nailed Amodu for not playing friendlies before the September 6 date but the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, rose to his defence saying that they would not want to bother the players who want to make an impact in their various clubs.

“We truly wanted to play friendly matches but we took into cognisance the fact that our players are just resuming in their clubs. We want to allow the clubs make use of the players so as to have very good rapport with them”, President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, cleared.
