Spokesman of the  Nigerian Football  Federation (NFF) Ademola Olajire says Enyimba has no right to pick which ticket to represent Nigeria with at the CAF Confederations Cup. Olajire said only the  football governing body can decide which ticket the two-time CAF Champions League winners Enyimba, can use as they gear up to represent Nigeria at the CAF Confederations Cup.

Olajire was speaking against the backdrop of Enyimba’s comment, stressing that they will prosecute the Confederation Cup with the Glo Premier League ticket, thus paving the way for Port Harcourt based side Sharks FC to represent Nigeria at the Confederations Cup using the Federation Cup ticket.

According to Olajire,  the decision of  Enyimba determining to use their ticket from the league was not justified. In a telephone chat with Saturday  Vanguard the spokesman  said it is not their right to decide which  ticket to use to represent the country at the CAF competition. Revealing  that the only the authority to  justify such stands  on  which ticket they can  use is the NFF.

“Enyimba does not have the right to pick which ticket to use to represent Nigeria at the CAF Confederation cup. Only the NFF can decide which ticket Enyimba can use and they have done so according to the law that regulate the game,”

“No doubt, their resolution on the ticket concerning the CAF confederation Cup   would definitely  be devastating,” he said.
Before now controversy had raged on which ticket Enyimba would use as it would determine the fate of Sharks and Warri Wolves which finished as runners-up in the Federation Cup and Warri Wolves that finished fourth in the league.
