3SC boss Mutiu Adepoju has confirmed that 11 players have been placed on transfer as their services are no longer required by the team.
“Yes I can confirm to you that eleven players have been given letters placing them on transfer. It’s a hard decision to take, but since their services are no longer required we had no other option,” he explained.

The affected players are Ifeanyi Yongo, Musibau Olatunde, Waidi Olatunde, Idris Arowolo, Saheed Yusuf, Rotimi Abass, Ibrahim Yusuf, Ikechukwu Eluozo, Olabisi Olagunju, Sunday Ibeh and left wing back Daniel Mende.

Team Manager Ajibade Babalade has meanwhile taken charge of the team as 3SC intensified preparations ahead of next season’s Globacom Premier League.

Several new players besieged the team’s training ground early in the week as trials kicked off to select fresh legs to don the famous blue and white colours of Shooting Stars SC.

In the fixtures released by the league body last week, Shooting Stars will travel to Kano to confront Pillars on the opening day of the Globacom Premier League.
