Asenior staff of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, slumped and died in the office, Sports Vanguard can reveal. The death of Ibukun Omoseyi, senior driver at the Liaison office of the Federation in Surulere brought panic to the staff when the late Omoseyi slumped from his seat. A very dependable source informed that the late Omoseyi had reported to duty hale and hearty.

“He was ok and exchanged banters with other staff. It was surprising when we noticed that he was foaming from the mouth”, one of the staffers who was still crying said. And before they could rally round to help him regain consciousness, he gave up the ghost.

The death of Omoseyi described as very diligent and hardworking brought pain to the leaders of the football-house who relocated from Abuja to Lagos for the Federation Cup final that was played at the sparkling Teslim Balogun Stadium on Sunday.

It was with a heavy heart that President Sani Lulu and Dr Bolaji Ojo-Oba continued with the Federation cup when they learnt of the death of Omoseyi. Ojo-Oba in particular was said to have cried when the sad news was broken to him. He had worked with the late driver when the headquarters of NFA was in Lagos.
