The Aba Elephants finished third in the Globacom Premier League to win a ticket to carry Nigeria’s cross in the Confederations Cup. The Federation Cup victory also ensures they play at the Confederations Cup. If Enyimba decide to use the ticket of the League to play at the Confederations Cup, Sharks that finished as runners up would grab the ticket to play continental.

But it appears that Enyimba who are playing the beautiful bride are set to punish Sharks further by using the ticket of the Federation Cup to confront Africa at the continental level. In that case, Warri Wolves that finished fourth behind Enyimba in the league would play continental. Enyimba’s image maker, Tonnex Chukwu, confirmed that the People’s Elephant would be entering in the Confederation’s cup as Champions.

“Our tickets in the League and Federation Cup entitle us to the Confederations Cup. But we are going into Africa as champions of Nigeria. That means we won’t go from the League”, Chukwu said.

Chairman Felix Anyansi-Agwu was still engrossed in the celebration. “I am happy because we have proved that we are still a force in Nigerian football. I am also happy that we won this trophy for our governor who has been very supportive to the club”, Anyansi who also guided Enyimba to their two Champions League trophy noted.
