LAGOS— The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has arrested an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Charles Atileka, and six others for allegedly transporting 12,375 litres of Petrol Motor Spirit, PMS, illegally to Benin Republic.

LAGOS—A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, has discharged and acquitted 10 accused, charged with the Arepe pipeline vandalism and killing of three engineers of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.

ABAKALIKI—EBONYI State Police Command, yesterday said it arrested 18 suspected armed robbers, cultists and vandals. The command also said it recovered three AK-47 rifles, four locally-made pistols and live ammunition, among others from the suspects.

National Coordinator of the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, Otunba Gani Adams, Barrister Yinka Oguntimehin , has condemned the gruesome killing of 10 operatives of the Department of State Security by pipeline vandals in the Arepo area of Ogun State.

Nine operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, were on Tuesday night shot dead by vandals at Konu, a border between Arepo in Ogun State and Ikorodu, Lagos State, even as scores of persons have been declared missing as a result of the attack on the area.

No fewer than 10 persons suspected to be electricity installation vandals have been electrocuted within the jurisdiction of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) since January 2014, an official said.
