THE Governing Council of the Osun State University, UNIOSUN, Osogbo has appealed to striking workers of the institution to return to work with a pledge to pay them their earned allowances within the next 30 months.

Authorities of the Nigerian Airforce have directed that an airman, who was at the center of the fracas that erupted on 24th May 2017 at Ipetu Ijesha between students of the University of Osun and personnel of the Airforce, should face appropriate charges.

The Osun state government has mourned the alleged ritual killing of one of the students of the Osun State University, UNIOSUN, Oluwafemi Oluwatimilehin Shonibare, by suspected ritualists.

A student of Osun State University, UNIOSUN, Osogbo, Miss Latifat Abiola Oyeleye was declared the over best medical student of the Karazin Kharkiv National University as well as the 2017overall best students in the entire Ukraine with an outstanding score of 95.6% in KROK 2 Exams.

The Vice Chancellor, Osun State University, UNIOSUN, Professor Labode Popoola weekend cried out that the university is broke and could not meet all its financial obligations following the state government’s withdrawal of subvention to the institution and the failure of the students to pay their school fees.

—An Osogbo magistrate’s court has ordered two suspects, Elijah Oyebode, 22, and Yusuf Ajibade, 25, arrested by Osun State Police Command in connection with the murder of Rofiat Damilola Adebisi, a student of Osun State University, UNIOSUN, to be remanded in Ilesa Prison custody.
