A total of 16.6 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS worth N6.1 billion led the import chart for the month of May, the import statistical chat of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, the shipping position has shown.

The Edo State Government has commended petroleum marketers in the state for abiding by the directive to ensure Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) does not sell above the approved N145 per litre, noting that their sustained collaboration has led to hitch-free distribution of the product across the state.

The Edo State Government has dismissed rumours of impending scarcity of petroleum products particularly Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), and cautioned marketers against selling above the approved pump price of N145 per litre.

The Edo State Government has warned petroleum marketers in the state to desist from diverting petroleum products allocated to Edo State to neighboring states, thereby causing artificial scarcity of the products.
