Pipeline vandalism: Why we resisted the Navy – Guards

Private guards attached to Topline Security, charged with the responsibility of securing the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation pipeline at the Atlas Cove, Lagos, who threatened to engage personnel of the Nigerian Navy in a clash, last Tuesday, at Ilashe Island, Idi-Mongoro area of Atlas Cove, have explained that their action was borne out of their resolve to stop alleged irregularities on recovered siphoned products by the Navy.

PIPELINE VANDALISM: Group flays arrest, harassment of Delta community’s indigenes

Isoko Movement Against Social Slavery and Economic Sabotage, IMASSES, a civil society organisation in Delta State, has frowned at what it described as the ongoing unwarranted arrest and harassment of some indigenes of Idheze community, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State by soldiers over the recent suspected vandalism of a Nigeria Agip Oil Company, NAOC pipeline in the community.
