Abuja Airport runway ready for inspection today — FAAN

The Managing Director Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Engr. Saleh Dunoma weekend declared that the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja runway will today be ready for inspection by Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, and if certified okay by the regulatory authority, will be reopen for flight operations. This is two clear days before the reopening date of 19th April of the runway for air traffic.

Abuja Airport: Fashola, Julius Berger, others to appear before Senate tomorrow

FOLLOWING the deadlocked meeting last week between the Senate and the Minister of State, Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, over planned closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, the Minister, his Works and Housing counterpart, Babatunde Fashola, representatives of the company billed to handle the repair of the runway of the airport, Julius Berger, as well as heads of the security agencies will appear before the Senate tomorrow for discussions on the issue.
