Two of Nigeria’s leading pop singers, Kiss Daniel and Mayorkun, have been announced as performing artistes for this season’s Big Brother Naija launch show.

DMW boss, Davido, born David Adeleke, has continuously shied away from putting a figure on his riches. In his latest hit ‘IF’ where he stated he has ’30 billion in the account’ was not taken seriously either but his protege and label mate, Mayorkun, may have let the cat out of the bag in his recent chat with Potpourri on how much the Omo Baba Olowo is really worth.

One of Davido’s artistes of DMW, Mayorkun, has confirmed that there is no bad blood between his boss, Davido, and Wizkid, over who is a better artiste. According to Mayorkun, the music heavyweights have pretentiously been taking hilarious swipes at each other, misleading the public that they are at each other’s throats.

Up till now, not many know that Eleko crooner, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, is the son of veteran Nollywood actress, Toyin Adewale. The reason is not far from the fact that the fast rising singer has struggled to create a unique identity of his own, devoid of his mom’s influence. Since his debut single, Eleko, shot him to limelight after signing on to Davido’s record label, DMW, Mayorkun has battled to isolate himself from his mom’s influence on his music career because he needed to prove to the public that hard work is what has been responsible for his success so far. According to Mayorkun, it irks his ego whenever news goes to town that his mom’s influence is what has helped his music career.
