The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu has declared scholarship awards for all the indigent children in Bende town, the headquarters of Bende Local government government area of Abia.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has commended Nigerians youths for their interest in the development of the country, saying that their resolve to conduct a peaceful protest showcased their patriotism and confidence in the greatness of Nigeria.

In an unusual patriotic and sacrificial move, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu at Thursday plenary session called on his colleagues to sacrifice 50 percent of their salary for 6 months to support the indigent Nigerians.

In his continuous advocacy for peace in the south east, the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has called on Ndi Igbo to reject any calls for anti-government protests.
