The celebrated case of Dr. Farid Fata, a Michigan oncologist who was sentenced to 45 years in prison in 2015 for medical fraud and misconduct comes into perspective. Fata, who was also slammed with a $17,600,000 forfeiture order,  misdiagnosed and mistreated hundreds of patients, many of whom didn’t even have cancer.
