The Nigeria Olympic Committee has said that the Guidelines for elections into the boards of National Federations as released by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, do not conform with the Charter of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and International Sports Federations, to which Nigeria is a voluntary signatory.
