Some innocent Nigerian school girls were last month abducted from their school in Chibok, Borno State. Painfully, the real number of girls involved is unknown. The first report said 100, another 200; yet another version said 234. When a fresh story suggested 276, many people opted to use the term ‘over 200 girls’.

GOVERNOR Kashim Shettima of Borno state has appealed to the people of the state irrespective of religious inclinations to embark on three days fasting and prayers beginning from Monday 12th to Wednesday 14th May, 2014 for the safe release of about 236 female students abducted by suspected Boko Haram terrorists in Government Girls Secondary School Chibok last three weeks ago.

#BringBackOurGirls: Youths, students give Jonathan 40 days ultimatum

Youths and Students in Borno state led by Comrade Yusuf Tom and Miss Fatima Zanna Maliki has given government 40 days from the day of the abduction of the female students in Chibok, Government Secondary School (April 14, 2014) by suspected members of the Boko Haram Insurgents, which is expected to lapse on May 24, 2014, stating that, if by then the girls were not released they are going to mobiles students nationwide and gathered at the Ramat Square in Maiduguri, where they hope to go on hunger strike until government do everything within it’s power to release the abducted students.
