A few days after five northern governors, Murtala Nyako, Aliyu Babangida, Sule Lamido, Magartakarda Wamakko and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, visited three former heads of states - Generals Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalam Abubakar - and the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, over what they termed ‘consultation with stakeholders’, the Presidency took offence. The reason is that the seat of power sees the action of the governors as a stab on the back.
