The military coups in Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso and recently Niger- all francophone
countries, to a large number of people, indicate that France is gradually losing grip of its former colonies.
Neo-colonialism has thrived for a long time and it appears that Africans have woken up to demand that countries in the continent should be allowed to take charge of their destinies.
